Hello Disney lovers. Thanks to my wonderful Walt Disney World wall calendar, I found out that on this day in 2004, the Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa in Walt Disney World opened. I have not had the opportunity to stay at that resort, but it looks like a very nice place to stay. Have any of you stayed at Saratoga Springs? If so, what was your experience? Please post your comments below and let the world know what you think. For now though, as always, have a magical day!

Hello Disney lovers! I wanted to give a little bit of clarification in regards to Soarin’ today here on Beyond The Castle. Some people believe that the ride Soarin’ is located only at Disneyland, more specifically Disneyland’s California Adventure. This simply is not true at all. In 2008, Disney World opened a version of Soarin’ that has become wildly popular since its opening. Disney World’s version of Soarin’ is located at The Land pavilion at Disney’s Epcot theme park. I hope this provides you with more clarification regarding this attraction. If you have any comments or questions, feel free to post them below in the comment section. Until next time, as always, have a magical day!

Hello Disney lovers. Today, I’ve decided to update my blog with a question for all of you. First though, I’d like to give you my scenario. As you may or may not know, I am physically disabled and live in Northeast Ohio. In order to travel to Walt Disney World, most of the time, my father and I drive in my Chevy conversion van. The van measures somewhere between 7’9 and 7’11 (I cannot remember the exact measurements.) On the way down to the happiest place on Earth, we travel through West Virginia, Virginia, both North and South Carolina, Georgia and of course, Florida. What we have always wanted to do is have a clean van before we go into Walt Disney World. However, due to all the rain and other things that hit the van on the way down there, that really isn’t possible. What I’m asking all my Disney fans out there is do you know of ANY car wash that would be adaptable to a conversion van? It doesn’t even have to be in Florida. It could be in any of the Southeastern states that I mentioned. Now I realize there is a gas next to Disney’s Boardwalk Resort that has a car wash. That gas station does not have a car wash that will fit my van. If you can help me out in any way, please post a comment below. Thank you all for reading and as always, have a magical day!

Hello Disney lovers! Here are my thoughts for the day:
On May 1st, along with it being the anniversary of Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Formerly Disney’s MGM Studios), it was also the anniversary of Disney’s Pleasure Island. Pleasure Island was supposed to be a place where adults could go out at night and have a good time while still enjoying the magic of Walt Disney World. Unfortunately, as time wore on, the idea failed miserably. Now, Pleasure Island is reduced to shops and restaurants that are open day and night. There’s no real “Nightlife Magic” there anymore. I feel this is sad because no matter how much you love Walt Disney World, sometimes you need to get away from the pixie dust and fairytales and simply have a good adult time. Pleasure Island gave you that opportunity and I feel it’s a real shame that it’s basically all but gone. I was too young to experience Pleasure Island in its heyday. I truly would have loved to experience a club or comedy act there. Sadly though, that will never be. Here’s to Pleasure Island, an innovative idea that never reached its full potential. What is your favorite memory of Pleasure Island? Do you feel it was a good idea or not? If you liked it, what did you like about it? If you didn’t care for it, what do you feel Disney should have done to make it better? Please post your comments below and let the world know how you feel. Until next time, as always, have a magical day!

Hello everyone. We have some breaking news regarding the popular Epcot ride Soarin’. Please see below:
Epcot’s most popular attraction, Soarin’, has been temporarily closed for urgent maintenance. Yesterday a guest managed to exit the glider prior to take off, which has now raised questions about how the guest circumvented the restraint system. Although there were no injuries, Soarin’ at Disney’s California Adventure has also been closed pending the investigation. No word yet on when the ride will reopen, but with Test Track also closed, you can be sure that Disney will be working flat-out to get Soarin’ back in the air.
Once we receive more information regarding this news, you readers will be the first to know. For now though, as always, have a magical day!

Hello Disney lovers! A couple months ago, Disney announced that Phineas and Ferb, the characters based on the hit Disney TV show of the same name, would be invading the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. The new attraction will be taking over the Kim Possible attraction that is there now. I think this is both a good move and a bad move by Disney. It’s a good move in that Disney seems to be capitalizing on the success of their TV shows first with Kim Possible and now with Phineas and Ferb. What I don’t like about this move is that Disney seems to be putting in temporary fixes into that section of the Magic Kingdom. Again, they put in Kim Possible when it was hot and now they are putting in Phineas and Ferb simply because it’s a popular draw right now. My question is what will happen once Phineas and Ferb go off the air? Will Disney put in another Disney show in its place and simply continue the temporary cartoon carousel? Again, this is just my opinion and now I would like your thoughts. Do you like the installment of Phineas and Ferb? Why or why not? Please post your comments below and let the world know how you feel. Until next time, as always, have a magical day!

The attraction will be call The Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow and will be based on the worldwide success of the 4 hit Pirates of the Carribean movies. The attraction is supposed to be a first-of-its-kind experience that one can assume will replace the Journey Into Narnia attraction which is located at Studio 4 inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The opening date of the attraction is still unclear but is presumed to be open sometime in the Fall according to the Walt Disney World official blog. How do you feel about this latest news? Do you feel this attraction will be a success at Disney’s Hollywood Studios? Please post your comments below and let the world know how you feel. For now though, as always, have a magical day!
