Learned Something New

January 30th, 2015

Hello everyone. I learned something new that I wanted to share. While ordering the latest Disney Vacation Planning DVD (Which is free by the way), I found out that you can actually watch the entire DVD online. I think this is great to have immediate access to the DVD while you wait for it in the mail. On top of that, you can even watch the entire DVD without even ordering the DVD at all. I think this shows how far we’ve evolved since Disney unveiled their videos years ago. They went from VHS videos, to DVDs, all the way to now being able to watch their Vacation Planning guide online. I think this is a great progression for Disney that will serve them for years to come. Do you still order a Disney Vacation Planning DVD? Why or why not? Please post your comments below. For now though, as always, have a magical day!

Hello everyone. Today is the 40th anniversary of Space Mountain at Walt Disney World! Do you have any memories of this classic attraction? If so, feel free to post them below. For now though, as always, have a magical day!

New Year’s Resolutions

January 7th, 2015

Hello everyone. I hope everyone had a GREAT Christmas and New Year’s. My question of the day is do you make any New Year’s Resolutions? If you have, what is it? Have you made any New Year’s resolutions in the past? If so, did they come true? The thing about New Year’s resolutions is that people seem to set a goal but they seem to forget about their resolution by February or March. Here’s hoping that your resolutions come true in 2015! Post your answers and comments below based on whatever’s on your mind. For now though, as always, have a magical day!

Big Hero 6 is #1!

November 10th, 2014

Hello Disney lovers. The big news today is that Big Hero 6 is the #1 movie in America! Over the weekend, the movie brought in $56.2 million. This simple fact proves that Pixar still has the magic touch when it comes to making good quality movies. I for one am simply amazed at how it seems that whatever Pixar touches turns to pure gold. If you really think about it, all of this started with the original Toy Story movie. I feel that movie goers were just fascinated by the animation that was being displayed on the screen. They realized this new technology that Disney and Pixar came out with was something that had never been seen before. It was different than anything that they had seen before. I often wondered and slightly worried that over the years people would become bored with the animation that Pixar and Disney have produced. Big Hero 6 has proven though that movie goers are anything but bored. I also think that’s why Disney signed on to another Toy Story movie. It seems like Disney has this “Strike while the iron’s hot” mentality. This can be taken as greed or simply capitalizing on an opportunity. That is simply for the audience to decide. No matter what side of the fence you are on, one thing is for sure. Disney has a winning formula that will last for years to come. Have you seen Big Hero 6? If so, what were your thoughts about it? Also, what is your opinion regarding the Pixar phenomenon? How long do you think it can last? Please post your comments below and let the world know what you have to say. For now though, as always, have a magical day!

Toy Story 4 Coming in 2015

November 7th, 2014

Hello Disney lovers. The big Disney news on Thursday was that Toy Story 4 will be released in June of 2017. I find this very interesting for multiple reasons. First, I, along with millions of other Disney and movie lovers, thought Toy Story 3 was the finale in the very successful Toy Story franchise. Toy Story 3 seemed to be the be all end all for Toy Story. The way that Disney wrapped up Toy Story 3 seemed to be a fitting way to end the series of movies. On top of this, nowadays, it seems that everywhere you look there is a sequel to a movie. Movie sequels to be being made at an alarming rate and Toy Story 4 could be perceived by some as overdone. I often wonder if this is capitalizing on an opportunity or if it’s just Disney being slightly greedy. I’ve seen so many movie studios breed too many movies in a franchise and ruining the movie and thus tainting the franchise as a whole. I just hope the Toy Story franchise is different. What do think? Do you think Toy Story 4 will be a smash hit? Do you think Disney is making a good move by making another Toy Story? Do you think Toy Story 4 will flop? Post your comments below and let us know what you think. For now though, as always, have a magical day!

MagicBands and MemoryMaker

October 30th, 2014

Hello Disney lovers. Today I received an E-mail regarding the MagicBands that are being implemented in Walt Disney World. For those who don’t know, MagicBands are Disney’s fairly recent system regarding making it easier to organize your tickets, dining reservations, etc. by putting it all on one simple wristband. Now, starting in November, not only can you put all of the above items on your MagicBands, but now you can add the MemoryMaker onto your MagicBand as well. The MemoryMaker is really a good investment I feel. For one low price, you can can purchase all your pictures from various attractions and dining locations. For example, at Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, you can have your picture taken in front of a dining plate display with Mickey Mouse on it. Now in the past, if you wanted to purchase photos from that great moment, you would have to pay extra for each size that you wanted. With MemoryMaker though, those photos will now be no charge because you’ve prepaid for the MemoryMaker package. Plus, that doesn’t just apply to Chef Mickey’s. It also applies to many attractions and character meals around Walt Disney World. Have you purchased a MemoryMaker package? If so, what has been your experience with it? Also, have you used the MagicBands yet? If so, what has been your experience with them? Comment below with all of your thoughts on these 2 very important subjects. For now though, as always, have a magical day!

Hello everyone! It’s been a long, long time since I’ve blogged on this site. However, I am back and better than ever! What I want to talk about today is the new restaurant that is going into Disney Springs. For those of you who don’t know, Disney Springs is tanking the place of Pleasure Island at Downtown Disney. The restaurant will be called Morimoto Asia and it will be backed by world famous Chef Masaharu Morimoto. You may remember Chef Morimoto from the famous TV show Iron Chef America. The restaurant will serve Asian based cuisine inspired by Chef  Morimoto’s works. I find this interesting as I feel that Disney Springs seems to be focusing on lots of restaurants for the new design of Disney Springs. I wonder how people will respond to this type of cuisine. What do you think? Do you think Morimoto Asia will be a huge hit? Do you think it will be a flop? Post your comments below and let’s start a discussion. On a side note, I want to say thank you to everyone who have followed me all these years. I promise you all that I will be blogging more often. For now though, as always, have a magical day!

Hello Disney lovers. As some of you may or may not have read, the big news of the day is that the new Fantasyland is officially open in Walt Disney World at the Magic Kingdom Park. Since its inception in 1971, this is the largest expansion in the history of the Magic Kingdom. From the new Be Our Guest Restaurant which I hear is absolutely spectacular, to the adding of the second Dumbo ride being built, I’m sure this expansion is something that Walt Disney himself would be proud of. Speaking of him, I wonder if he ever envisioned Disney World being this large both property wise and popularity wise. Like I mentioned yesterday, the only things he had come up with before his death were Disneyland, Magic Kingdom and the beginning of EPCOT. Now take a look at what Disney World has become. An entire community of not just one park but 4 amazing parks each with its own unique style and theme to it. Today’s expansion is just another amazing example of what the human mind is capable of when it has its own unique ideas to share to the world. What are your thoughts on the expansion of Fantasyland? Do you think it’s too large of an expansion? Too little of an expansion? Just the right size for an expansion? What ever your answer is, why do you feel this way? Please post your comments below or E-mail us at with your thoughts. For now though, as always, have a magical day!

Happy Birthday Walt Disney!

December 5th, 2012

Hello Disney lovers. Today is a very special day as it is Walt Disney’s birthday. Any Disney fan both young and old know who Walt Disney is. He is the creator of the entire enterprise that is the Walt Disney Company. I admire him for many different reasons. I think if I had to narrow it down, I would have to say I admire him for two reasons. The first would be his vision. Walt Disney always had a vision of the future. I know I mentioned this before, but one of my favorite stories is how he envisioned Epcot. It is said that even in his hospital bed when he was unfortunately dying of cancer, he was still drawing up plans of what he wanted Epcot to look like. That’s the vision I think Walt Disney had. He was always thinking no matter where he was. The other thing I admired about Walt Disney is his family values. If you were to go on Disney’s Carrousel of Progress, you would hear the narrator explain how much Walt Disney loved the American family. For this reason, I often wonder if Walt himself would approve of such Disney shows as Hannah Montana and The Suite Life of Zach and Cody. I also wonder if Walt would approve of the exact layout of the Magic Kingdom. Don’t get me wrong, the park is set up beautifully. However, the mad rush to the exits after the fireworks display Wishes is always something that concerns me and is also something I’m sure would concern Walt as well. There are many things though that I’m sure Walt would approve of about his beloved park and overall product. These things include seeing the smiles on children’s faces when they see their favorite Disney character. These moments make for timeless memories for both parents and children alike and are a wonderful reflection of Walt Disney. Happy birthday Walt from all Disney lovers around the world. How has Walt Disney inspired you? Please post your comments and birthday wishes to Walt below or E-mail us at with your best wishes. For now though, as always, have a magical day!
