Food Guide: The Crystal Palace

January 20th, 2012

Hello everyone and welcome once again to another edition of Beyond the Castle. Today, we will be taking a look at one of the most popular restaurants in Walt Disney World, the Crystal Palace which is located at the Magic Kingdom Park. To be even more specific, it is located to the left of Cinderella’s Castle. The Crystal Palace is a buffet style restaurant that has 3 dollar signs for pricing. The exact cost is $36 to $59 per person for dinner. It is also a character style dinner featuring Pooh, Piglet and Eeyore from Disney’s Winnie the Pooh. Here’s a tip for you first time goers. It is a good idea to make reservations before you go as tables do fill up fast. Since that tip is out of the way, let’s talk about the food. As mentioned earlier, the Chrystal Palace is a buffet style restaurant which means it offers lots of variety from chicken nuggets to actual roasted chicken. I personally have the chicken nuggets and mashed potatoes among other things. I know people who also enjoy the salmon that they offer as well because of the special glaze they put on it. I actually tried it the last time I was there and didn’t think it was that bad. For dessert, the Crystal Palace offers brownies, cookies and pies. If you go to the Disney World website, the Crystal Palace is also famous for their sundae bar. This blogger has never tried it, but will be sure to do so the next time he’s there. In summary, the Crystal Palace is a great restaurant for children and adults of all ages. If you have been to the Crystal Palace, what is your favorite food there to eat? If you haven’t been to the Crystal Palace, who is your favorite character from the beloved tale Winnie the Pooh? Please post your comments below for everyone to see. Next time on Beyond the Castle, we’re going to take a little break from the foods at Walt Disney World so I can give my thoughts on the “One More Disney Day” promotion that Disney introduced on New Year’s Eve. For now though, as always, have a magical day!
