Welcome!

When you wish upon a star…………..

Hello everyone and welcome to Beyond the Castle!

Now I know what y0u’re thinking. “Oh no. Another blog about Disney World. Great. What makes this blog different than the other 5000 blogs about the happiest place on Earth?” Well, it’s simple. This blog IS ABOUT YOU! You control what’s put on here! In other words, comment on the site your questions and I’ll write about it. Alternatively, you can write me personally at admin@beyondthecastleblog.com and write me your question. Then, look for my answer to appear on this site! Simple, right?

I know you have one more question. “What makes you an authority on Disney World? Basically, who the heck are you?” Well, let me tell ya. :)

The name’s Kevin. I’ve been to Disney World 15 times approximately and I consider Disney World my 3rd home. (I consider the hospital I used to go to my 2nd home, but that’s for another posting.) I’m 26 and yes, I’m like Peter Pan. I refuse to grow up.

Just a side note, I am physically disabled. However, I’m not going to blog about my condition often. I’m the kind of person that refuses to use the disability as a crutch. I’m a Disney World lover. Period.

When I go to the World, I enjoy to staying at the Port Orleans Riverside. I love the ambiance and it’s not too expensive either!

Ok, so that’s all for now. I look forward to  all of your questions and comments. Don’t be shy about writing in. If I don’t know the answer, I’ll be sure to look it up and answer the question for you.

As always, have a magical day! :)

Kevin

Hi Kevin! I enjoyed reading your post abt the most magical place in the world…this year will be our little Brendan’s 4th time there, and my 9th time. We absolutely love it there as well. It’s the place where magic comes alive and all your cares in the world are simply vanished (for the time being). Our son, Brendan, also has a handicap (although it’s not visible). He was born at 3lbs and had to endure a very risky heart surgery. Each year we take him to the cardiologist for MRI’s and stress tests. One day he’ll need an angioplasty we just don’t know when. When we’re at Disney, all our worries are carried away…whether it’s Tinker Bell’s magic or Mickey’s, we don’t know but it’s our 2 weeks of no cares in the world! When we’re not at Disney we love going to Hilton Head Island…another awesome place! I agree with the music on the buses. That would be fun! And I say, who cares if you’re almost 40, 50, or 90…if you’re at Disney World, get on with it and start singing! We also love to stay at Port Orleans. It’s a wonderful place and so close to Downtown Disney. We also enjoy it! T-Rex is one of our favorite restaurants. In fact, our plan is to hit it the first day we get down there. After some major shopping, of course! Thanks for your thoughts and maybe one day, we’ll catch you down there. Sometimes we run into people we know (literally) so it really is a small world afterall!!!

Howdy would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with? I’m looking to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a difficult time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique. P.S My apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!
