Hello everyone. Welcome to a new edition of Beyond the Castle. Today, we will be taking a look at one of my favorite Disney parks, Disney’s Hollywood Studios. What I love about this park is that it has a good balance of things to do for little kids and for big kids as well. For little kids, this DVD features things such as Disney Junior live on stage. There, kids can sing and dance with their favorite Disney Junior stars. For bigger kids, the Disney vacation planning DVD features things such as the Rock N’ Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith. This is a roller coaster that takes you from 0 to 60 in 2.8 seconds flat. Something also for the older kids is the Tower of Terror ride. This ride takes you on a 13 story elevator ride that drops you almost at the same speed as the Aerosmith ride. What is neat about this ride is that there is a different ride sequence every time you brave the elevator ride. Another guest favorite is the American Idol Experience which is based on the popular hit TV show. Here, guests can participate in an actual singing competition. The audience members then vote on their favorite performance to choose a winner. In addition to all of these attractions is the Lights, Motors, Action Extreme Stunt Show. This takes place in a stadium. You can actually see how an action stunt scene is made from beginning to end. They recently added a scene featuring Lightning McQueen from the hit movie “Cars” and “Cars 2″. The perfect ending to any Hollywood Studios day is to see the firework spectacular Fantasmic. This amazing show features Sorcerer Mickey Mouse as he battles villains who try to ruin his dreams and also his imagination. I believe it is the longest of all the firework shows in Walt Disney World and well worth your time. Much like the other parks in Walt Disney World, Disney’s Hollywood Studios has special events at certain times of the year. This mainly includes Star Wars Weekends which is every weekend in the months in early summer. Also, around the holidays, the park is known for the Osborne family spectacle of dancing lights. I’ve never personally seen it, but knowing Disney, it has to be spectacular. Overall, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a great mixture of entertainment and Disney fun. What is your favorite attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios? What don’t you like about the Studios? Please comment below and let the world know your thoughts. Next time on Beyond the Castle, we’ll finish the resorts section portion of the DVD by diving into Disney’s Animal Kingdom. For now though, as always, have a magical day!
