Hello everyone. It is Wednesday and another addition of Beyond the Castle. To continue our exploration of the Disney vacation planning DVD, we will take a look at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. This section begins by talking about Kilimanjaro Safari. This is a Safari you would take to see different animals up close and personal. If you really love wild animals, you really should go on this ride. If you want to take things a step further, you can pay to go on a three hour private tour called Wild African Trek. This tour is a lot like Kilimanjaro Safari. The only difference is this tour is a lot more personalized. The DVD highlights things like camp Minnie Mickey were you are able to interact with the Disney characters. One of my favorite things to do at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park is to see the Festival of the Lion King. This is a stage show featuring performers dressed up like lions and acrobats you have to see to believe. The DVD recommends and I agree to get there as early as possible because seats will fill up fast. Much like other parks in Walt Disney World, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park has its share of this for kids and adults alike. On the kids’ side, there are things like Primeval Whirl which reminds me of the Mad Hatter tea cup ride at the Magic Kingdom. It’s basically that same set up where you sit in a vehicle and move and spin in a circle. There is also Triceratops Spin which also reminds me of the Dumbo ride also at the Magic Kingdom. There are many other things on this DVD such as Expedition Everest which is a roller coaster ride. The rest of the things on the DVD I will leave for you to discover. Point blank, if you love animals, you will love Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. What is your favorite attraction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park? If you have never been to Walt Disney World, what is your favorite animal and why? Please post your comments below and let the world know how you feel. Next time on Beyond the Castle, we will be taking a look at what you can do outside of the parks as recommended by the Disney Vacation planning DVD. For now though, as always, have a magical day!
