Hello everyone. Welcome to the Friday edition of Beyond the Castle. We will be finishing off the week by talking a little bit about the Blizzard Beach portion of the Disney Vacation Planning DVD. The basic story of Blizzard Beach is that Disney World attempted to build a ski resort. Well, it melted. The result is Disney’s Blizzard Beach resort. This is the story that this section of the DVD opens up with. The DVD talks about the individual names of the water rides within Blizzard Beach. This includes water rides for little kids, pre-teens and adults as well. Some of the names of these rides include Summit Plummet which is basically a raft ride. Another ride along those same lines is Team Boat Springs both Summit Plummet and Team Boat Springs have very curvy slides associated with them. If you want a lazy river type of ride at Disney’s Blizzard Beach, the DVD recommends Cross Country Creek to fit your lazy river needs. For the big kids and pre-teens in your group, there’s Ski Patrol Training Camp. Lastly, for the little tykes in your group, there is Tikes Peak which is a water park section designed especially for little kids. To sum it all up, whether you’re a big kid, pre-teen or a little kid, Blizzard Beach will always have something for you. What is your favorite part of Blizzard Beach? If you have never been to Blizzard Beach, what is your favorite thing to do at the beach? Please post your comments below and let the world know how you feel. Next time on Beyond the Castle, we will be exploring another part of the Disney Vacation Planning DVD by taking a look at one of my favorite places to go on outside of the theme parks, Downtown Disney. For now though, as always, have a magical day!
