Hello everyone and welcome to the Monday edition of Beyond the Castle. After a brief hiatus, the blog is back and better than ever. Today, we will be taking a look at the resorts portion of the Disney vacation planning DVD. If you have been reading the blog for a while, you know that I did write a short blog about the benefits of staying at a Walt Disney World resort. However, that blog was not very detailed. Now, I will go into greater detail with the added element of the vacation planning DVD. One of the main benefits to staying in a Walt Disney World resort is that you are in the middle of the magic all the time. That is the first thing that the DVD covers and I agree with them. It’s almost like you are in your own little city that is different from Florida and even Orlando. What’s nice is that Disney created different resorts for different budgets. No matter what your financial situation is, Disney can accommodate you. The DVD then talks about the special benefits of staying in one of their resorts and that’s what I want go into now. One of the major benefits of staying within Disney World is the extra Magic hours. If you go to a park on an extra Magic hour’s day and you are staying at a resort, you can visit that park either an hour earlier or up to three hours later than everyone else. This makes it a lot nicer if there is a particular ride you want to see but you know it is usually crowded during regular park hours. If you are flying to Disney World and staying at a resort, the magical express service will be a tremendous benefit for you. With this Disney advantage, Disney will pick you up at the Orlando International Airport and drive you to the resort that you’re staying at by bus. By the way, all of the services that I’m speaking about are complementary. They are all just a part of the convenience and magic of staying on the grounds of Walt Disney World. On top of all this is the option you have of special character dining at certain resorts. Lastly, there is the entertainment side of the resorts. If you have been reading the previous posts on this blog, you would know that I visit Yehaa Bob Jackson whenever I go to Disney World. He is one of many entertainment options you can choose from. Each resort has its own unique style of entertainment. Overall, in my opinion, the Disney vacation planning DVD does a very thorough job of explaining the benefits of staying at one of their resorts. What is your favorite resort at Walt Disney World? If you have never been to Walt Disney World, what is your favorite hotel and what is your favorite amenity of that hotel? Please post your comments below and let the world know how you feel. Next time on Beyond the Castle, we will dig even deeper into the resorts. For now though, as always, have a magical day!
