Hello Disney lovers. Today I’m going to be talking a little bit about a rule I discovered through a comment on my personal Facebook. When I read this, I was honestly shocked. I truly feel that this rule really sets Disney apart from Universal Orlando. The rule I discovered is that none of the rides at Universal Orlando are able to accommodate electric vehicles such as electric wheelchairs. Furthermore, if you absolutely have to be in a wheelchair, you would have to transfer to a manual wheelchair that they have available. This is one of the main reasons I will never go to Universal Orlando. The more disturbing issue is that there’s a rumor that Disney may implement this rule in the future. I personally don’t think Disney will go through with the rule. Disney World has way too many rides that accessible to people in wheelchairs. These include such rides as The Haunted Mansion and It’s A Small World at Magic Kingdom Park among many others all around Disney World. Plus, I also heard that the new Dumbo ride at Magic Kingdom Park is wheelchair accessible. I feel this will make it even more difficult for Disney to implement that rule. What do you think? Do you feel that Disney should implement the same rule as Universal Orlando? Why or why not? Please post your comments below or E-mail us at admin@beyondthecastleblog.com with your thoughts. For now though, as always, have a magical day!
